“Finding Your Way” Safety-awareness Program for People with Dementia

A new wandering-prevention program in Ontario (Canada) has been launched by the Alzheimer Society of Ontario and the Ontario Government. It seeks to prevent people with dementia from wandering and becoming lost, while helping family members and care-givers prepare for such incidents. The article on NetNewsLedger reports that three out of five people with dementia go missing at some point, often without warning. The new wandering-prevention program offers a “Finding Your Way” safety kit.
