If you’re directionally challenged, you may feel paper maps are too complicated to make sense of and overly difficult to fold. But the link that follows shows a completely different approach to viewing maps. London (England) artist Elisabeth Lecourt uses maps, not for wayfinding, but for fashion-related art. She’s turned vintage maps into dresses, with folds cleverly arranged so the whole map image is visible. Her collection, entitled “Les robes geographiques” also includes some shirts.
